Spoke to Nigel about a car that was advertised, and I made lots of requests including videos of the underside of the car. Nigel was all too happy to oblige, even going so far as putting the car on a ramp and sending me the video along with photos of the service history.

Unfortunately I had a change of heart, and decided to go with a different model of car in the end.

Couldn't rate the customer service offered more highly, and I feel like this is a dealer you I'd have no hesitation buying a car from online.

I purchased a Kia Optima from Nigel in the summer of last year. He offered to pick me up from the train station but the other half offered to drive us down so she could see the car too.

When we arrived, we were welcomed in and offered to test drive the vehicle. I took it for a nice drive and loved the car! When we arrived back, we sorted out payment and paperwork and off I went.

A months down the line I had an issue with the exhaust system on the car. Before approaching Nigel, I visited Kia as they offer a 7 year warranty and believed it would be covered.

My local Kia were terrible!! So I had to speak with Nigel who booked me into the Kia garage in Leicester and sorted me out a courtesy car. Luckily this Kia garage was a lot more confident with their work and managed to source the issue, spoke with Kia and had the work approved.

Unfortunately this is the joys of motoring but Troon cars were excellent with me and can't complain. Thanks

Very belated review, but Billy and Nigel were champions. They were genuine, friendly and helpful, with no pushy sales talk, and really put me at ease during the slightly nerve-wracking experience of buying a fairly serious car.

Nigel also generously split the cost of a minor oil leak after a couple of months, which he had no obligation to do.

When I'm in the market for upgrading, I'll be giving these guys a call before anyone else.

I've been to quite a few used car dealers recently, but Troon Cars stand out like a beacon- their exceptional friendly customer service is exactly how it should be. As a previous reviewer said, Nigel is a legend, so helpful, knowledgeable and great communicator. The whole process was very smooth and efficient. They have a superb range of quality Mercedes and other vehicles at competitive prices and the car that I brought was in excellent condition and I'm really fussy about that. Other members of the team that I spoke with were equally friendly and i cant recommend this business highly enough. Don't expect to be mollycoddled with tea/biscuits/armchairs but DO expect good value, professionalism and trustworthiness. I feel that my car is in safe hands if any issues arise in the coming months - they insist on letting them know if there is anything that I am not 100% satisfied with.

I have bought many vehicles over the years I have been driving, and although I had researched the vehicle I was after (MB SLK250 AMG) and driven some dismal examples at a few other garages, the customer service level and quality of cars at Troon Cars of Leicester was a mark above the rest. Personal service was optimal, and they had reserved the car for me to view with a simple inquiry. Having said that there were many quality cars there not only the one I was viewing. After a test drive I decided to purchase it and over a chat and a negotiation for part Ex, extended warranty and help with taking my personalised plates off my old car, the purchase was all quickly easily and comprehensively sorted, no pressure, no problems and I drove away with my new car. On the way home I noticed a slight unbalance of the wheels and that the aircon was a bit lacking , but no problem at all as the next day I raised this with Troon Cars and they immediately told me to go to a local garage and they would reimburse me for sorting those issues out (I live an hour away), even easier, I went to a garage they told me they had an account with and it was all sorted the day after. What a result. What service. I will definitely consider using them again for my next quality car.

Two words sum up the recent purchase of an SLK Mercedes from the Company Owner Jimmy and his Sales Executive Nigel "Great" and " Even Better than that!!

Given that I travelled a round trip of 610 miles from Glasgow to purchase the car the Company met all my travelling costs and that has never happened before.

I have bought many cars but the transaction was never as smooth as I had enjoyed being very impressed and awe struck with the two gents mentioned above with no " pushing tactics " but just honest straight talking which removes so much tension when you are involved in negotiating.

Their combined knowledge of the "World of Car Purchase "was second to none putting your mind at ease from start to finish.

Fairness in the negotiating process was again first class and being given all the assurances you wish to hear when purchasing a car.

Better still was Nigel ensuring that all the necessary paperwork you required to complete for the DVLA online was explained extremely well particularly with the Coronavirus challenges we all face at the current time and offering you all his time you required if you were unsure in completion of the paperwork.

We bought an Mercedes SLK from them back in May. It had a brake light fault when we went to pick it up. Nigel acknowledged the fault was on there and said he would get it fixed. This was during all the lockdown so it took a while for it to get sorted but they held true to their word. Even had a phone call from the owner to see if everything was ok. I live overseas and was looking for 2016+ Mercedes E-Class with certain kit which i eventually found at Troon (through Auto Trader). I never actually met anyone in person or visited the store, but from my first inquiry, through receiving a video tour, service history to arranging delivery to the shipping port, Nigel was highly professional and responsive to all my questions and requests. I don't often leave web reviews, but simply had to on this occasion after a very stress-free and simple transaction with Nigel. I travelled 150 miles to view a car at Troon, test drove it and then came back up to collect it a few weeks later. I kept in text comms with Nigel throughout, as I was delayed on collecting the car by work matters, but this wasn't a problem for Nigel. A small deposit secured my new car (BMW 530D) and Nigel also offered a very reasonable price for my Mercedes in part exchange. The actual buying transaction was simple and smooth, and I received my new logbook exactly 1 week later. My new car is immaculate and came with a courtesy RAC warranty, 12 month free breakdown cover and valet and polish. Would easily recommend Troon and Nigel to any prospective car buyer.

Jimmy is the owner of Troon Cars, I purchased a Mercedes C class 250 on a 16 plate registration in Aug 2018. From start to finish the service was excellent, after looking at numerous other Mercedes without much success and being told cars were in excellent condition but on inspection some were very poor quality. Saw Troon Motors advertised in Autotrader, rang Jimmy and he stayed open late for me to view the cars, all were in spotless condition and he was true to his word and knew the full history of all of his cars. He was very open and honest, gave me the keys to the car I was interested in and I went out for a test drive. After 3 months we had a small technical issue, rang Jimmy and without hesitation the car was fixed the same day with no cost to me. In conversation he said any further problems just let him know, return the car and he will fix it. I would recommend Jimmy for purchasing a good car at a good realistic price. Also thanks to his mechanic giving me some sound advice.

6 Star service!

We don't normally take the time to compliment service providers or suppliers but in this instance we would like to share the experience of dealing with Troon Cars. Like other review submitters from initial contact to completion of sale they were excellent. We had to travel a distance to view the vehicle and because of work commitments it was almost 2 days before we could make the appointment, they told us they would hold the vehicle until we travelled up country to see it.They provided historic information on the vehicle (we also did our own checks). Fantastic firm to deal with . A guy called Nigel bent over backwards to help me . Starting by meeting me after hrs to open up so I could see a car I liked . I wanted windows tinted and he sorted it all out ready for me just to pick Car up .got a fare price on the car I was after first class service from start to finish. I can not praise Nigel enough. Would recommend this firm .

i generally purchase my cars from a main dealership, but on this ocassion the car and big specification i wanted was only available at Troon cars. My first interaction with Jimmy was over the phone regarding the car and specification as i was travelling over 100 miles for the car. Jimmy was fantastic over the phone and nothing was too much trouble for him. Finally on the day of collection he got me a better interest rate on the car loan. The car was in pristine condition and valeted too a high standard prior too my collection. Once again Thanks for great customer experience Jimmy and you definately got customer for life.

Used Mercedes specialist in Leicester. Quality cars at the right price. Highly recommend if you want a used prestige car. The cars are on par with a Mercedes dealership in my opinion but without the whole dealer sales rigmarole.
